Diversity

We envision a safe and peaceful society through the interconnection of powerful individuals, healthy families and communities that are co-existing in an equitable, diverse and just society. Thus we work through Restorative Justice principles and processes, promoting the transformation of individuals, families, communities and systems through modeling, coaching training, education and facilitation.

Restorative Justice
A person commits a crime. A student is suspended from school. Victims of crime suffer in silence. Is there a way to restore these individuals to their community with a new understanding of justice, empathy and responsibility?

Restorative Justice is a way of addressing crime, conflict or wrongdoing that focuses on repairing harm. As an intervention it requires at a minimum that the victim’s harms and needs are addressed and that the offenders are accountable to put right those harms.

Restorative Justice demonstrates that it is possible to hold a person who commits harm accountable while actually promoting healing and restoration of relationships between those who have been harmed and those who have caused the harm.

Turning Point Partners is committed to offering these new and restoring processes in the community. To see how TPP is applying this philosophy, click here.

Mindful Communication

Mindful Communication is a simple process that facilitates the flow of communication necessary to exchange information and resolve differences compassionately. It is based on identifying universally shared values and needs. Mindful Communication can be practically applied in educational institutions, business and industry, social service agencies and politically charged situations, as well as in families and personal relationships.

Community Building Circles

Based on the work of M. Scott Peck and his organization, The Foundation for Community Encouragement.  Community Building is an experiential process designed to develop trust, encourage healthy risk taking, foster relationships and promote shared leadership. Participants come together to overcome differences, learn to speak from their own story and deepen compassion with oneself and for others.  For more information on Community Building Circles click here
